The surroundings of the Finca where Frontos is located is a well-kept natural park, richly vegetated with a wide variety of native Canarian flora.

Design
Architectural design and environmental friendliness
In the Frontos winery, special care has been taken to adapt the building to the surroundings, it is built on an old quarry and embedded in a volcanic jable (pumice) dam. The traditional materials of the South have been used, such as the pozzolana rock that covers the concrete walls, and the winery was designed as a bioclimatic building, to improve the conditions of thermal insulation and natural ventilation that are required, minimizing energy consumption through passive systems. The entire front of the cellar is a solar wall that uses natural convection to control the temperature of the cellar.
The winery takes advantage of the geological characteristics of the local subsoil, volcanic pumice, to make underground cellars that offer special natural conditions of humidity and temperature. For optimal winemaking, modern technology is available in the cellar, control laboratory and highly qualified personnel.
The winery has its own vineyards and associated vineyards, which are controlled by our personnel. It is a medium-sized winery, with a capacity of up to 100,000 bottles and limited productions aimed at the highest quality.

Frontos is a Visitor Centre incorporated into the Tenerife Rural Quality Network promoted by the Cabildo Insular de Tenerife, which includes those centres that are representative of the different axes of the rural world of the island, in this case wine and oenology.
